He also visited Cameroon, Angola, and Equatorial Guinea. The trip lasted eleven days. He wanted people around the world to pay attention to Africa. About 288 million Catholics live in Africa. In Cameroon, he spoke to about 120,000 people. He told young people not to be violent or dishonest. He met with leaders in Angola. In Equatorial Guinea, most people are Catholic. After the trip, he returned home to the Vatican.
